Supply Chain Product Owner
Location – Rosemont (Open for remote)


Job Profile Summary
The Associate Product Owner is responsible for building and enhancing client’s IT capabilities. The Associate Product Owner drives the vision and strategy of a given Product in support of the Product Owner or the Sr. Product Owner, as they ensure consistent value creation throughout the delivery process, and represents the needs of our customers and stakeholders. A key component of this role is to maximize the generated ROI of particular features and functionality within the product by breaking them down into clear user stories for a well-prioritized backlog, as well as determining the right metrics to measure success against. As a central figure supporting the Product team, the Associate Product Owner works closely with a combination of Sr PO, PO, PM/Scrum Master, Developers, UX designers, Architects, and QA, and DevOps team members to design and deliver innovative solutions and Product features.

The right candidate is a strategic thinker with the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs & priorities, offering a proven track record of efficiently delivering quality releases on time. They must possess the ability to rapidly earn trust with both stakeholders and team members, and can work effectively with cross-functional teams.
This role will be within the Digitech Supply Chain Value Stream, and part of the Warehouse Excellence product team. They must possess supply chain / warehouse domain knowledge:
• Order Fulfillment (receiving, putaway, picking, loading/shipping, returns, claims)
• Inventory Management (replenishment/rotations, slotting, tracking/traceability, cycle counts, recalls, adjustments/financial treatments)
• Labor Management (planning, performance, task mgt)

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders
• Serve as a liaison between the business and development, acting as the voice of the customer and communicating requirements and needs to the Product team
• Deliver on-time, on-budget, on-quality, on-fit service(s) or Product(s)
• Assist and facilitate Facilitate and deliver the creation of the Business Requirement Documentation in conjunction with specified stakeholders (e.g. user interface, detailed business rules, conditional logic, data mapping, reporting, user notifications/alerts, etc)
• Document As-Is and To-Be processes (process engineering)
• Own a feature or simple product; maintain, and continuously groom the Team Backlog ensuring high-quality delivery
• Facilitate delivery of features along with the Scrum Master engineering by refining and improving processes that lead to more efficient development cycles
• Work within an Agile framework to develop and execute against a Product roadmap
• Develop user stories with detailed requirements and acceptance criteria that address enduser needs
• Participate in recurring Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Demos, Quarterly planning etc.
• Maintain metrics and critical KPI’s that track value of delivered Features and team output
• Data Analysis: extract, analyze, and interpret data sets to inform business cases and product decisions
• Understand and communicate the value being delivered by their product teams
• Maintain an innovating and future-proofing agenda for given Product(s)
• Maintain User and Technical documentation for release management such as SOP’s, release notes, support guides, training manuals, system interfaces
• Anticipate, mitigate and chaperone escalations
• Other duties as assigned by manager
SUPERVISION:
• The Associate Product Owner role is an independent contributor role.
RELATIONSHIPS
• Internal: Business Stakeholders and End Users, IT PDL, IT Delivery (Scrum Masters, Developers Product Owners, Engineers, Architects, UX Designers, Program Managers, etc.)
• External: Application / Systems Vendors (as applicable)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
• Up to 10% Travel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in Product Ownership / Product Management, Business Consulting, IT Business Analysis, or another related field
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Agile or SAFe certification(s) highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to influence change within large, complex organizations Experience using Agile project management tools (e.g. Atlassian) and flowchart tools (e.g. Visio, Lucid Chart) strongly preferred
• Experience with eCommerce, restaurant, and/or wholesale food distribution industries strongly preferred
• Experience with SQL (ability to extract data from tables), Data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake) and reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma)
• Familiarity with estimation, capacity planning, and forecasting practices
• Strong facilitator with the ability to plan working sessions / workshops and drive intended outcomes.
• High technical acumen working with engineering teams to ensure system design aligns with business needs
