The head of commercial, Japan is a critical  leadership role for our business, responsible for driving  revenue growth by leading a multi-functional team that consists of Sales, Account Management and by collaborating with User Acquisition and Marketing based in Japan. This role will report directly to our Senior Vice President, APAC General Manager and work closely with our global cross functional leaders. The candidate will be responsible for overall revenue growth from existing clients based in Japan, and for developing new strategies and tactics to constantly improve our business.

Primary Responsibilities:
·Market Assessment & Commercial success: Evaluate the Japanese mobile gaming landscape meticulously to drive commercial growth, considering cultural nuances and user behaviors.
·Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with leadership to craft and execute a comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy aligned with Mistplay's objectives in Japan.
·Team Leadership: Manage and cultivate a diverse team across departments, ensuring alignment and dedication to facilitate successful market entry and sustained growth.
·Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture partnerships with internal stakeholders, aligning strategies, and securing essential support for a successful launch in Japan.
·Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with HQ functional heads (user acquisition, commercial, creative, lifecycle marketing, LiveOps, and CX support) to implement locally tailored strategies aimed at achieving KPI goals.
·Local Talent Development: Build and lead a team of expert leaders native to Japan, fostering their growth and expertise in line with Mistplay's vision and standards.
·Knowledge Transfer: Distill and apply global best practices and insights within the region, ensuring the adaptation of proven strategies to the Japanese market landscape.
·Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with HQ support functions to execute regional initiatives seamlessly, ensuring synergy and efficiency in operations.
·Customer Support Oversight: Supervise and optimize customer support activities within the region, ensuring exceptional service delivery aligned with Mistplay's standards.
·Relationship Establishment: Forge trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, fostering alignment and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
·Employee Welfare: Take accountability for the well-being and professional development of Mistplay employees in the APAC region, fostering a conducive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:
·Minimum Experience: 7+ years in ad tech or mobile gaming with 4+ years leading teams, preferably with a strong general management background.
·Preferred Experience: P&L ownership within a start-up that is scaling quickly
·Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or marketing.
·Language Skills: Native fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English.
·Skills: Relationship building, market analysis, strategic planning, team leadership, and excellent communication.
