As the Employee Engagement Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping, executing, and evolving our engagement strategy to enhance employee experience, connection, and recognition, while leveraging data-driven insights to continuously improve our programs. This role partners closely with leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure engagement initiatives align with OpenX’s people strategy and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Drive Employee Engagement Strategy
Collaborate with People Business Partners, People Operations, Talent Management, Learning & Development, as well as company leaders, to develop and execute a comprehensive engagement strategy that aligns with OpenX’s values, business objectives, and employee experience priorities.
Maintain a pulse on the organization while identifying emerging trends in employee engagement and culture, bringing innovative, data-driven ideas to enhance impact
2. Build Organizational Engagement & Recognition
Lead engagement programs that improve collaboration, belonging, and team connectivity.
Play a key role in fostering a culture where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute. Partner with NEXUS, and OpenX’s other employee-led groups focused on strengthening inclusion and belonging across the company. Collaborate to align engagement strategies and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
3. Identify and implement tools and technologies that enhance the remote and in-office employee experience.
Organize culture-driven initiatives, including virtual and in-person events, trainings, workshops, and community-building programs.
Contribute as a thought partner to key moments in the employee lifecycle (onboarding, recognition, celebrations) to ensure they reflect OpenX’s culture and values.
Manage and evolve employee recognition programs (e.g., Bonusly, Commercial team awards, anniversaries, etc.) to celebrate contributions and reinforce company values.
4. Leverage Data to Inform Strategy
Collaborate on the design, execution, and analysis of employee engagement surveys, pulse checks, candidate and new hire surveys, and focus groups to understand employee sentiment.
Translate employee feedback into actionable insights and work with People Business Partners and leaders to develop and track engagement and culture improvement initiatives.
Establish key metrics and benchmarks to measure the success of engagement and culture programs.
5. Plan and Oversee Engagement & Wellbeing Programs
Oversee OpenX Cares (corporate giving and volunteerism) to encourage community engagement and impact.
Design and execute culture and engagement related initiatives that bring people together, from virtual events to in-person gatherings.
6. Manage relationships with vendors and external partners to enhance culture, wellness, and engagement efforts.
Oversee the engagement and wellness budgets, ensuring investments align with business and employee experience goals.
7. Collaborate with Global Benefits to launch wellness initiatives that support employee mental and physical wellbeing.
8. Enhance Internal Communication & Employer Branding
Develop and manage relevant internal communication channels (Slack, Confluence, newsletters, company-wide updates) to drive transparency and engagement.
Create compelling content that amplifies employee voices, success stories, and initiatives.
Act as a culture ambassador, working closely with Talent Acquisition and Marketing to promote OpenX as an employer of choice externally, including managing BuiltIn posts and content.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or the equivalent professional experience.
5-7 years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications, culture programs, or employee experience roles.
Operate with a strategic mindset and ability to align engagement initiatives with business and people strategies.
Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple initiatives and deliver results.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into meaningful action plans.
Proven ability to plan and manage both virtual and live events that bring employees together.
Experience in a flexible hybrid, remote, and/or global work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including experience creating engaging content (newsletters, internal updates).
Proficiency in employee engagement tools (e.g., Slack, Bonusly, 15Five, survey platforms) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) for collaboration, reporting, and communication.
Vendor management experience and ability to build relationships with external partners.
