What you’ll be responsible for:

Reporting to the Vice President of Infrastructure, the Senior Director, Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining a reliable computing environment, delivering quality processes, controls, and system support to the enterprise. This role includes understanding the business requirements of cross-functional teams and being accountable for identifying, recommending, implementing, managing, and optimizing technology to achieve those goals. A strong grasp of industry and technical knowledge is required, as well as a working expertise of various application, server, storage, and network platforms in use.

What you’ll work on: 

  • Leadership  
    • Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, professional development and day-to-day support to foster an engaged work environment with a focus on customer service. 
    • Oversee the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s technology infrastructure. 
    • Assists staff in developing methods and processes to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and security of the network services, enterprise systems, desktop support and user support functions. 
    • Stays current in technology trends and proactively provides technology recommendations.   
  • Plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of organizational IT services.
  • Manage operations for desktop and laptop personal computing, tier two escalations, corporate systems, data center servers, systems as well as networks.
  • Coordinate with the Security team to ensure proper security controls are in place including developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas: desktop infrastructure, systems infrastructure, and network infrastructure.
  • Oversee third party vendors and outsourced relationships including vendor selection and SLA management.
  • Implement and support short-term and long-term strategic plans to ensure system, storage and backup infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
  • Manage department budget; be able to develop reports to demonstrate return on IT investment to the business.
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including networks, storage, backup libraries, email, etc.
  • Develop infrastructure project plans that develop key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve project objectives while adhering to Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes, corporate change management processes, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with various projects and tasks as needed, including providing corporate office back up support and decommissioning sites.
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Provides direct supervision of staff, including assignment of work tasks, coaching and general performance management
  • Coaches, develops and mentors direct reports with an emphasis on building career paths for professional growth.
  • Administers progressive discipline, including corrective action when necessary, to ensure high levels of job performance and compliance with company policy.
  • Conducts formal performance appraisals for all direct reports and develops action plans for continued development and performance improvement.
  • Manages payroll activities for direct reports to include timekeeping, approval for time off requests, and other administrative functions.


What you’ll bring to Access TeleCare:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field is required, or an equivalent combination of certifications and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience managing an infrastructure team. 
  • Minimum of 7 years at management level
  •  CISSP certification is preferred
  • Provide leadership and judgement, and to collaborate with other leaders in establishing departmental priorities. 
  • Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals; an innovative leader, problem solver and consultant.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, presentation, oral communication skills, written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation and strong understanding of business processes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
  • Be a consensus builder and persuasive leader with a strong commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing who effectively communicates technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Balance operational tasks with long-term strategic technology and security initiatives. 
  • Able to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences (in business terms), including executive level
  • A natural influencer and coalition builder; passionate about building high performing teams 
  • Experienced with contract and vendor negotiations. 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies and track and measure result
  •  Advanced analytical and project management skills, strong ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization and resources exist
  • Extensive expertise in systems and network management, experience managing complex virtual and physical environments with legacy systems.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence and speak clearly to members and employees
  •  Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work with minimal or no supervision
  • Knowledge and competency with current protocols and standards including Microsoft, server virtualization including VMWare, wireless technologies; monitoring tools as well as backup and archiving technologies and cloud technologies
