About the Role: 

Our Events and Live Media Group has a strategic opportunity for a self-driven Marketing Manager to support the continued growth of our expanding portfolio of in-person and virtual events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute at a pivotal moment as we build momentum and scale our presence in the live and digital event space. The ideal candidate brings a blend of marketing expertise, creativity, and a growth mindset to help elevate the reach, impact, and success of our events. 

Primary job functions:

  • Develop, implement and manage all tactical marketing campaigns through the use of email, SEO/SEM, social media channels (paid and organic) and emerging marketing modes and technologies;
  • Manage industry and content partner relationships to extend marketing reach;
  • Manage activities necessary to ensure achievement of attendee revenue and profit objectives;
  • Analyze and present metrics on campaigns, performance and pacing, and recommend shifts in strategy/direction, continually refreshing campaign concept to drive registration conversion;
  • Work closely with the group’s Programming, Sales, Events and Research functions to strong storytelling and executional excellence in all marketing activities
  • Manage and build event marketing database, including acquisition campaigns, data collection, database management and customer messaging;
  • Develop strong understanding of the diverse markets Arizent serves; leverage insights from audience development and editorial/programming to engage target segments;
  • Oversee outside relevant service partners;
  • Develop content with the Studio onsite at events for future marketing endeavors (e.g., attendee/sponsor testimonials), Travel about 5-10%. 

Required qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 3-5 years of event or conference marketing experience.  The individual will be a self-directed, entrepreneurial marketing and development manager with relevant industry background and experience, a strong revenue-generating track record and excellent communication and presentation skills. More specifically, this individual must possess most, if not all, of the following: 

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding marketing revenue and profitability targets while developing and executing sound marketing strategies and tactics;
  • Demonstrated high energy, strong work ethic and bias for action; known for a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to customer-centric solutions;
  • Fast paced, hands-on business style focused on delivering budgeted revenue;
  • Must be highly organized and able to coordinate and prioritize a high volume of projects, multiple tasks and time requirements without daily supervision while keeping supervisor apprised of progress or changes to plans, creative, timing, measures and budgets;
  • Excellent planning, presentation, organization, and communications/ listening skills with a strong attention to detail;
  • Understands marketing plan and objectives, including key campaign components (contact plan, marketing plan, segmentation and value proposition);
  • Insight-oriented, ability to think independently, constructively and critically to improve products, programs, services and processes;
  • Understands lead times, maintains schedules and executes marketing projects within scope of work and on deadline;
  • Highly collaborative, working constructively with others in carrying out regularly assigned duties and special projects;
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills.
