About the role

The Refinery Sales Manager is responsible to grow, expand, and maintain a required minimum base of revenues and number of customers within an assigned sales territory.

Employee must be based out of Salt Lake City (Preferred), Denver, CO or Washington State.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Complete annual Sales Revenue Budget for the territory
  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives; Obtain a minimum yearly goal in New Logo Business accounts; Meet or exceed the threshold for the established minimum number of sales calls per week
  • Coordinate Customer visits with Operations or other Sales Personnel; Participate in joint sales calls, job walks, "Lunch and Learns" and trade shows as required
  • Promote communication and coordination between Sales, Operations, and Customers. Ensure Customer satisfaction with Reworld
  • Assist in the collection of receivable revenue from Customers and participate in monthly accounts receivable activity.
  • Actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning process, updating S&OP records (bids, volumes, revenues…) whenever changes occur.
  • Coordinate and complete profile information as needed; Maintain company and contact information and document all sales calls, customer visits and business opportunities in Sales Force. Update bid log information weekly.
  • Participate in project post checks, reviewing customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Maintain daily awareness of sales activities and results; Participate in Project Accounting reviews
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the sustainability industry, market, macro drivers, significant trends and key business metrics to enhance sustainability, carbon neutral/zero waste strategies of customers
  • Systematically identify, qualify, and apply value proposition to opportunities. Create and expand comprehensive sustainability programs in prospective, new and existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with operations to successfully implement, deliver, manage and monitor sustainability programs and services to and with customers to reach carbon neutral/zero waste goals.
  • Methodically utilize systematic approach to prospect, prepare for sales outreach, gather customer information prior to initial contact, sustain a consistent level of activity necessary to achieve quota, by prospecting, segmentalizing, prioritizing, qualifying, accounts using Salesforce, Marketing Lists, other
  • Negotiating - Prepare for negotiations, appropriately adjust modes of negotiation, utilize data, documents agreements
  • Territory and account planning – Using a strategic account planning process, clearly define and communicate goals and measurements for success. Strategize, create, execute, refine and accelerate sales plans and account opportunity strategy to meet defined objectives.
  • Assemble/deliver timely forecasting information and insight that accurately identifies the sales funnel, including product mix weighting and timing.
  • Develop sales strategies and plans for breaking into new market segments and/or hard to penetrate customers.
  • Cross-sell Reworld services, working collaboratively with sales teams from other business units and regions.
  • Obtain signed Contracts and Purchase Orders for new business as required
  • Manage business expenses – forecast expense budget monthly, book all travel through Concur, and submit expense reports weekly through PeopleSoft.
  • Ensure Outlook Calendar is current, populated with planned work activities, and shared with senior management staff and assigned personnel.
  • Perform__ other duties and tasks as assigned by management based on the needs of the market.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university, preferably in chemistry, engineering, environmental studies.
  • 5+ years industrial sales experience preferred
  • Valid Driver License, ability to obtain TWIC card
  • Ability to receive effective direction and constructive feedback from leadership
  • Maintain ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Maintain knowledge of RCRA, State and Federal Hazardous Waste Regulations, and Reworld capabilities

  • Maintain ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, oral presentation and writing skills
  • Develop and use effective customer service skills and leadership abilities
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Sales Force
  • Willingness to work flexible work hours with up to 80% travel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to perform general office skills
  • Driving long distances as required
  • Ability to work on customer sites – oil refineries, field service, hazardous waste, PPE required
  • Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping and reaching
  • May require lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 10 lbs
  • Travel as required up to 80%
