What We’re looking for

Highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst with a strong emphasis on Excel data manipulation and Power BI reporting in procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. A key focus will be on data consolidation, advanced Excel functions, and creating comprehensive dashboards using Power BI.

Alongside, the successful candidate must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on Excel and Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, and VBA.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of data consolidation, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

 

What to Expect in the Role

Data Manipulation and Analysis (Excel):

  • Efficiently handle large datasets, utilizing advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query, etc.) for data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation.
  • Develop complex data models and perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes using Excel macros and VBA programming.

 

Data Consolidation:

  • Consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets.
  • Merge and transform data from disparate systems to create a unified, comprehensive dataset for reporting purposes.

 

Dashboard Development (Power BI):

  • Design and implement visually compelling and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Create custom reports and KPIs that track business performance and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional Power BI dashboards.

 

Reporting and Presentation:

  • Regularly generate reports, track performance indicators, and summarize findings for management.
  • Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and dashboards to stakeholders.

 

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to understand their data needs and deliver tailored reporting solutions.
  • Present findings to non-technical audiences, ensuring the information is clear and actionable.

 

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot any discrepancies and implement corrective actions when necessary.
