Job description

Mascoma Bank is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing IT team, as we continue innovating our products and services that we provide to customers. To facilitate this innovation, Mascoma will need to continuously review processes and platforms across the organization. The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements, both business and technical in nature, through stakeholder meetings and research. This person will also document process through mapping, impact, and gap analysis. Using this research, the BA will work with stakeholders to build product and implementation roadmaps to support process improvement. 

Essential Functions of Position 

  • Plan, initiate, document and drive requirements gathering from stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to analyze and document business process mapping.
  • Work with stakeholders to document business impact and gap analysis.
  • Work with the products team to ensure that there is alignment with requirements.
  • Work with and help teams make data driven decisions.
  • Facilitate team meetings when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Has a growth mindset and is comfortable with change

  • Business process engineering experience
  • Requirements gathering and business analysis skills
  • Skilled at writing proposals, documentation and project plans
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to learn and use software to track and maintain project success (Jira, Confluence, Office 365) 
  • Can design/layout information so it’s easily understood
  • Ability to maintain focus on delivering an outcome, not output
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Professional appearance; grooming and dress consistent with MB appearance policy 
  • 3+ years in project management preferred
  • Knowledge in agile methodology
