Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Library Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering, extensive experience in library generation using Cadence tools, and a deep understanding of PCB layout design. This role requires collaboration with DFM teams and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to ensure manufacturability and reliability of PCB designs. If you have a passion for PCB design, library management, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain PCB library components using Cadence OrCad and Allegro
  • Create and manage ECAD library symbols, footprints, and associated metadata for rigid PCBs
  • Work closely with DFM teams and Contract Manufacturers to refine DFM requirements in library parts
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of PCB library elements with industry standards and company design rules
  • Collaborate with ECAD and MCAD teams to integrate 3D models and ensure seamless design workflows
  • Manage and automate library processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Support PLM-EDA tool integration and maintain best practices in data management
  • Manage external partners and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of industry experience in library generation using Cadence OrCad and Allegro
  • 2 years of experience in rigid PCB layout design
  • Should possess strong proficiency in both written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in library management and automation
  • Strong knowledge of ECAD and 3D MCAD library symbol integration
  • Experience with PLM-EDA tool integration
  • Direct experience in PLM tools such as Agile
  • Familiarity with Siemens-NX Designer for mechanical symbol creation
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence
  • Ability to maintain ECAD software
