Senior Solutions Engineer

 

Exterro empowers organizations to manage data risks with a complete platform for e-discovery, data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. The Role

 

Exterro is currently seeking a highly motivated, organized and goal-oriented Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the revenue of the Exterro platform through both direct customer engagement and with channel partners. You will work closely with our Sales team, Channel team, partners, and customers to understand their technical and business challenges and position our portfolio to address customer needs and opportunities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist sales with discovery and qualification of opportunities
  • Educate customers and partners as to the advantages of the Exterro platform
  • Perform advanced product presentations for customers, partners, and prospects. 
  • Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers and partners.
  • Perform customer needs assessments and discovery sessions.
  • Provide responses for product and technical requests.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company’s products, functions, features, and benefits.
  • Contribute to the success of various groups and functional teams beyond the sales organization. 
  • Collaborate with the Product Management and Marketing teams on a regular basis to provide information based on customer and industry interactions.
  • Continuously demonstrate competency in Exterro’s products, roadmap, and the Data Risk Management industry. 
  • Understand relevant competitive solutions, products, and services.
  • Participate at conferences, trade shows, and other events as requested by Management and Product Marketing.
  • Build relationships and gain “trusted advisor” status with customers and partners
  • Join relevant user groups, industry groups, and similar organizations.
  • Must be a highly motivated, strong team player who is open to new ideas.
  • Availability to travel 30-50% of the time.

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • 7+ years sales engineering experience 
  • 7+ years of Cybersecurity, Privacy, E-discovery, or Digital Forensics experience
  • Strong technical background with expertise in foundational technologies such as cloud platforms, SaaS services, PKI, networking, AI, data architecture, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required.
  • Relevant Certifications: EnCE, CFCE, ACE, CISSP, CHFI, CIPP, CIPM, ACEDS
  • Superior presentation skills.  
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with a focus on needs analysis, positioning, business justification.
  • Ability to work effectively on a remote basis. 
  • Requires an action-oriented individual with a very strong initiative to be successful.

As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $100,000- $125,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, flexible paid time off and more.
