Avid is looking for an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join its Finance team! This is a dual role in Accounts Receivable and Collections who will be in charge in making sure that all standard and ad hoc reports are delivered timely and accurately, audit-related tasks are completed on time, and accounts receivable is up to date and reconciled with customer and banks in line with cash policies, and collection guidelines. On the Collections’ side, the position will cover bad debt analysis, reports on credit memos and write-off activity. The candidate will work closely with Order Management, Order Launch, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Service and many other functional departments to ensure the prompt processing of customer orders and the timely collection of invoices. Adherence to all financial SOX controls is also a key responsibility.

This is a remote position (Philippines) – night shift

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Investigate and resolve unallocated & unapplied receipts; and contact customer if required
  • Ensure on time and accurate posting of payment from customers
  • Execute timely end-of-month/quarter closing activities in line with guidelines provided.
  • Ensure timely, qualitative and efficient processing of bank receipts, checks and cash transfer
  • Guarantee effective allocation of payments, credit notes and adjustments to customer invoices
  • Timely investigate payment related queries
  • Ensure that all audit-related inquiries and/or requirements are attended to in a timely manner
  • Perform routine collection activities for the assigned portfolio
  • Provide accurate monthly cash forecasting targets
  • Process adjustments, credit memos and refunds when appropriate on customer accounts
  • Investigate and resolve customer deductions, return issues and chargebacks in a timely manner
  • Negotiate with customers experiencing short term financial constraints
  • Manage the daily queue of orders being held for credit review prior to release for shipment
  • Effectively communicate with accounts payable contacts, customers’ senior management team, or business owners to minimize past due items, optimize DSO and increase cash collections
  • Perform credit risk evaluation (annual credit reviews and transactional/ad hoc credit reviews) including financial statement analysis and analysis of data obtained from banks and trade references
  • Effectively identify and recommend resolution to capitalization issues
  • Ongoing review of account status, prepare recommendations and credit approval decisions within parameters, and assist in collection of problem accounts

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and background
  • 3-5 years experience including exposure to: Accounts Receivable Management (Cash Application/Credit/Collections) environment (must-have) AND commercial credit & cash collections experience (must-have)
  • SAP/Net Suite (strongly preferred), Salesforce, MS Excel and other MS Applications experience
  • Audit background is an advantage
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must have attention to detail
