POSITION: Analyst, Renewable Energy Solutions

BUSINESS SEGMENT: World Kinect Energy Group

POSITION:

The Analyst, Renewable Energy Solutions will actively participate on Developer Relations, Developer Outreach Programs and Markets Research in the EMEA practice.

The role will provide comprehensive support in the operational delivery of customer mandates and services within the practice. The position is critical in building and delivering operational excellence via research and analytics of renewable energy markets and in furthering and developing relationships with 3rd Parties. The candidate should have rounded experience and excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Assist in financial modeling of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) offers by gathering data and supporting calculations.
  • Provide input for evaluating pricing structures and market trends.
  • Support basic scenario analysis and sensitivity testing under guidance from senior team members.

2. Market Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct research on energy market trends, regulatory changes, and pricing developments.
  • Maintain and update internal data sources with relevant market intelligence.
  • Summarize key insights to support commercial decision-making.

3. Business & Commercial Support

  • Provide research support for commercial negotiations and structuring of power offtake agreements.
  • Assist in tracking and organizing market data for selected EMEA locations.
  • Support the commercial team by compiling relevant information for business development efforts.

4. Reporting & Team Collaboration

  • Prepare clear visualizations and summaries based on research findings.
  • Support internal reporting by organizing data and creating presentations.
  • Collaborate with the team on specific tasks related to ongoing projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):

Essential:

  • Preferable 1-2 years of energy or renewable energy experience [solar PV, onshore or offshore wind and other technologies]. 
  • Preferable 1-2 years of external stakeholder engagement experience in client facing or partner facing role in the renewable energy sector.
  • Preferably knowledge of Long-Term Power Purchase Agreements and Onsite Power Generation in multiple geographies.
  • Knowledge of EU Wholesale Power market and Power Structuring
  • Understanding of EU power market mechanics, pricing and hedging behaviours, market actors and grid and permitting dynamics
  • Understanding of renewable energy incentives and regulatory structures. 
  • Analytical research skills and ability to synthesize information and logically structure findings
  • Business and financial acumen plus driven on customer-service orientation
  • Effective communications skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Effective team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment
  • Bachelors or Master degree in Engineering, Finance or Sustainability or similar
  • Multilingual with Business Level language skills in 2 or more European languages.
