Job description

Why ClickMechanic?

Founded in 2012, ClickMechanic is a leading marketplace for car repairs, backed by investors like 500 Startups and Forward Partners. We’ve helped thousands of customers book vetted, trusted mechanics and are now expanding into the world of electric vehicles.

EV is the future of car ownership, and we’ve recently launched a new product to make home charger installations easier for customers across the UK. This internship is your chance to get in at the ground level of this new venture and help shape the future of the business.

About the role

We’re looking for a bright, motivated intern to join us this summer and support the growth of our EV charger installation offering. You’ll work closely with the team on everything from recruiting and onboarding electricians to handling bookings and negotiating with suppliers. It’s a great opportunity if you’re curious about startups, excited by sales or operations, and want real hands-on experience in a fast-moving business.

We’re flexible on working patterns, whether you're available full-time or prefer 3–4 days a week alongside other commitments, we’re open to making it work.

What you’ll do
  • Find and onboard qualified electricians to our installer network
  • Manage bookings and keep everything running smoothly for customers and installers
  • Contact suppliers to negotiate pricing and availability on EV chargers
  • Research new areas for expansion and help identify growth opportunities
  • Work directly with the EV team on the day-to-day running of a new product

Requirements

  • A self-starter who’s happy working remotely but isn’t afraid to ask questions
  • Someone interested in sales, business ops, or the startup world
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships with both suppliers and tradespeople
  • Organised and adaptable – things move fast and you’ll need to keep pace
  • Confident with spreadsheets and quick to pick up new tools

Benefits

  • A paid internship with flexible working (3–5 days per week)
  • Remote-first working with access to co-working spaces across the UK
  • Real ownership over your work and a chance to make a tangible impact
  • Mentorship and insight into how new products get built and scaled in a startup
  • Experience working in one of the most exciting and fast-growing areas of transport

Ready to help build the future of EV charging? We’d love to hear from you.
