Join our dynamic team at Flowdesk as a Quantitative Researcher EMEA, where you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research initiatives in the fast-evolving world of cryptocurrencies. You will leverage advanced quantitative techniques to develop and refine trading strategies that enhance profit potential and mitigate risk.

Your role and responsibilities

Develop and implement quantitative models and algorithms to identify trading signals, optimize strategies, and enhance profitability
Conduct thorough research on market trends, trading behaviors, and financial instruments using a variety of quantitative methods and data analysis techniques
Build and maintain robust backtesting frameworks to evaluate the performance of developed models accurately.
Collaborate with traders, developers, and data scientists to integrate research outputs into trading operations effectively
Present research findings and performance analyses to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of complex concepts

Requirements

Background and experience

Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Finance
Proven experience (3+ years) in quantitative research or algorithmic trading, preferably within the financial services sector
Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, Numpy, etc.)
Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in strategy development
Knowledge of crypto markets and digital assets is a significant advantage

Proactive, curious, and independent, with a strong desire to learn and innovate
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
