The Data/Systems Business Analyst II within our Implementation Services team is responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of inbound and outbound data interfaces during an install of any GAINWELL solution. Responsibilities include working directly with our clients in defining data requirements based on the customer’s unique business needs, analysis of client data, and the design and development of capabilities to import client data into databases as well as to export files.

Your role in our mission
  • Working directly with multiple customers through the successful implementation of GAINWELL Solutions.
  • Ensure the successful completion of quality product and solution implementation utilizing strong technical and analytical skills;
  • Lead conversations with customer business and technical representatives with regard to all data aspects of new facility implementations;
  • Understand and analyze facilities' inbound data files, including claim, medical and pharmacy claims, member and demographic, provider, and other source data
  • Identify where clients’ data meets requirements through gap analysis and where and why it does not. Work with clients to help them provide data that conforms to requirements;
  • Assist product analysts and other solution subject matter experts with defining and gathering requirements for product configuration (including business rules, mapping)
  • Build configurations, business rules, and data mapping using internal GAINWELL tools and submit to developers in IT specifications for the build out of custom programming for handling of data.
  • Document detailed data import scripting/mapping, business rule configuration, and production job control specifications;
  • Test data import and processing after the capabilities are developed;
  • Work with GAINWELL developers in IT to set up new clients in the production environment.

  • Work with client project team and IT personnel to coordinate the receipt and import of historical and on-going data into the database;
  • Participate in status meetings and status reporting;
  • Work closely with implementation Project Managers and other project team resources;
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide update on accomplishments, issues, and up-coming activities;
  • Actively contribute to the design and implementations of internal process improvements. This involves improvement of manual processes as well as identifying, developing, and implementation of tools that help automate processes;
  • Maintain general knowledge of GAINWELL products and the business purposes solutions serve for our customers.
  • Maintain a high level of commitment to superior customer satisfaction through the entire duration of the customer relationship; and
  • Completes other projects as assigned
What we're looking for
  • Minimum of 5+ years work experience in the IT industry;
  • Prefer a minimum of 3+ years experience with healthcare technology vendor, payer, or healthcare provider; experience in working with claims data highly desired.
  • Excellent understanding of SQL for data querying, analysis, and script development;
  • Strong understanding of relational DB structures – ability to learn the structure of a relational DB and in turn leverage the data as a business tool;
  • Moderate experience or coursework in software development – understand programming concepts, ability to understand the logic of a computer program;
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Must possess ability to learn and comprehend data and processing concepts quickly;
  • Must be able to influence others through knowledge, communication style, ability, and earned confidence;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both internally and with customers;
  • Strong organizational skills – need to be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

The pay range for this position is $55,600.00 - $79,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
