The Global Proposal Management team manages all aspects of proposal development and effectively works across the organization to obtain information and content needed to deliver a compelling and compliant proposal. The team is responsible for ensuring that our customers and prospects receive proposals that are compliant, on time, high-quality, compelling, visually stunning, and strategic. We are responsible for submitting all RFI, RFP, etc., responses around the globe. We are part of a close-knit team of peers and teammates who support, help, and learn from each other.

 

The Senior Manager of Proposal Development will play a pivotal role in reimagining proposal processes, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and ensure that all proposals are persuasive, accurate, and aligned with company goals.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Process Innovation & Leadership: Leading the transformation of proposal workflows, introducing technology and best practices to streamline operations and enhance proposal quality
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with sales, product management, marketing, finance, and legal teams to develop comprehensive, high-quality proposal responses
  • Proposal Strategy & Execution: Overseeing the full lifecycle of proposal development, ensuring that each submission is compelling, strategic, and aligned with customer needs
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentoring and managing a team of proposal professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration
  • Performance Measurement: Utilizing analytics to assess proposal effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements to enhance success rates
  • Content & Knowledge Management: Maintaining a centralized knowledge base of proposal content, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring that all proposals meet regulatory, contractual, and company compliance standards

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal management, preferably within the EdTech or technology sector
  • Proven ability to implement innovative solutions to enhance proposal development processes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and proposal automation tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in proposal management within technology sector
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience leveraging AI within proposals field to support accuracy and efficiency
  • APMP certification or equivalent proposal management accreditation
  • Experience with data analytics and performance measurement tools

 

Pay range is $120,000 - $122,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
