Network Engineering Manager

The Network Engineering Manager role is responsible for ensuring the Networking Team is meeting operational efficiency and productivity needs, as well as creating a work environment that allows team members the opportunity to grow. The Network Engineering Manager will encourage continuous improvement within the Networking Team to solidify the structure in the department and create formally defined procedures to manage result metrics.

Essential Functions

• Ensure continuous monitoring and identification of network-related incidents to optimize departmental efficiency and productivity. Lead efforts in determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available, fault-tolerant network routing, switching, and secure environments to support company operations.
• Supervise the management and prioritization of network-related issues and system changes, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of incidents.
• Develop, implement, and enforce Aqua change control processes to provide visibility, structured planning, and consistent tracking of system changes that could potentially impact production systems.
• Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and training of the networking team to ensure skill development, team growth, and high performance.
• Support employee development through performance appraisals, training initiatives, and the administration of policies, fostering a positive and efficient team culture.
  
  

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
• 6 years of Network experience with progressively elevated roles required
• 2 year of people management experience required
• Financial industry experience preferred
• CCNA or equivalent certification required
• Azure Administrator or equivalent certification
• Must be well-versed in Networking protocols and best practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for extended periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
