ABS Kids is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant, under supervision of the Controller and Accounting Director, prepares and delivers timely, accurate and relevant financial statements monthly.
Our Administrative Support team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Every team member at ABS Kids is passionate about providing best in class support to our direct care providers, who in turn deliver the highest quality ABA therapy to our clients.

What would you do?
Assists the Controller and Accounting Director in preparing timely and accurate financial statements
Prepares monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
May maintain daily cash and bank reconciliations.
Prepares payroll journal entries with an understanding of payroll earnings and deductions
Maintains and reconciles fixed assets schedules
Conducts account analysis of asset and liability accounts to ensure proper recording in the General Ledger.
Prepares accruals, deferrals, adjusting, allocating and reversing Journal Entries as needed.
Ensures that all entries and analysis are properly documented and stored for future retrieval.
Continuously evaluates workflow processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient operations and opportunities for process improvement
Assists with the generation of flux and trend reports, providing explanations and recommendations based on findings.
Assists the controller in the maintenance of SOX regulations and internal controls
Special projects and ad hoc reports as required
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline required
Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience
Public Accounting experience preferred but not required
CPA or CPA in Process a plus
Experience with SAGE Intacct software preferred
Expert-level knowledge of MS Excel (v-Lookups, Pivot Tables)
Must be a team player.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Ability to juggle and prioritize tasks
