Job Summary:
As an Account Executive - Specialty you will be tasked with managing, developing and growing the CooperVision Inc. Specialty product portfolio with existing and new customers. You will be expected to build professional sales relationships with assigned customers, utilize a consultative selling style, and operate independently. This position requires daily in-person and virtual client interactions, along with new business prospecting. Account Executive - Specialty will be responsible for joint business planning and collaboration with colleagues for mutually beneficial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of consistently exceeding sales targets in medical device sales, preferably, with contact lenses or equivalent experience fitting specialty contact lenses.
The Account Executive role is responsible for achieving sales targets for a defined territory in alignment with company sales processes, plans, and objectives. This territory will cover the Southern California area. In this role, it is required to reside in the Southern California area.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Meet and exceed sales goals established by management for the given territory.
Demonstrate clear understanding of CooperVision Specialty portfolio and utilize professional selling skills and technical acumen to grow market share.
Deploy sales, marketing, and educational resources that assure acceptance by practitioners.
Leverage knowledge of industry, competition, and portfolio to meet and exceed customer needs.
Demonstrate knowledge of customer needs, priorities, and practice dynamics.
Responsible for establishing and executing an effective call cycle and territory business plan.
Regular analysis of key metrics to support changes/modifications to growth plan.
Dedicated to meeting customer needs quickly and accurately. Return inquiries within 24 hours.
Responsible for integration and training on CooperVision Specialty suite of technology and value-added products to enhance customer experience.
Participate in state, regional and national optical shows when requested – including weekends.
Submit all administrative reports on a timely basis, including but not limited to CRM call reports, expense reports, and territory reviews.
Identify the need for value-added tools, working collaboratively with appropriate departments in creation of practice management tools and materials for eye care practitioners.
Travel Requirements:
Overnight travel within territory up to 30%
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Daily use of CRM to report customer interactions and utilize report to analyze products, account sales and overall territory growth.
Excellent organizational skills and territory management.
Positive attitude and constructive team collaboration, as well as building strong relationships.
Adapt to a changing work environment; various situations, individuals and/or groups.
Communicate proficiently with above average verbal, writing and reading skills.
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage customer accounts, as well as effectively handle administrative responsibilities.
Plan and execute internal and external presentations to various sized customer groups.
Demonstrated knowledge of specialty contact lens market and CooperVision Specialty portfolio.
Work Environment:
Remote employee with home office environment
Territory travel, independent from manager
Experience:
3+ years of sales experience in medical device or contact lenses with documented success
Specialty contact lens fitting experience is beneficial
Knowledge of the specialty contact lens - Gas Permeable (GP), Scalarel, etc and optical industry is highly beneficial
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and 8 years of experience
NCLE preferred
CLSA, ABO, COA, COT, certified preferred
Valid driver’s license required

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $87,080.00 and $116,106.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
