Thales is hiring an experience Principal Solution Architect will be an experienced technologist; comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. The architect should be able to demonstrate the ability of thinking strategically about business, technical challenges and solutions while influencing internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Product Management to ensure customer success in designing, and implementing data security projects in the public cloud as well as on premise.

Keys Areas of Responsibility

  • Present to existing and potential customers, partners, and at national events (including; development staff, CXO’s, and analysts) information concerning the technical and business benefits of Thales cybersecurity solutions;
  • Using consultative selling skills, lead deep architectural discussions and designs with key customers to understand technical requirements, business direction, in order to help them define their technical needs and recommend solutions that meet those needs utilizing company products;
  • Passionate about helping customers protect their most important assets, their data;
  • Work closely with Product Management team to identify, evaluate, and make technical recommendations regarding strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships or customer requirements;
  • Arrange and deliver internal and external workshops on topics such cybersecurity industry-trends, best-practice, etc.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical awareness of relevant products, competitors, and trends in the marketplace;
  • Subject matter expert / technical leader within the organization, and Trusted Advisor to our top customers;


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering).
  • 10+ years of pre-sales working experience for an enterprise software or security company with a proven record of accomplishment and demonstrable skills at presenting technical information at the business executive level or at the architect level.
  • Cybersecurity Industry expert. Knowledge of competitors, industry trends, compliance/regulations, and cybersecurity in general best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience and success with the ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling a robust product portfolio.
  • Expertise with industry relevant industry standards including but not limited to PCI DSS, PCI PIN, and PCI P2PE.
  • Experience as a contributing member of technology standards including but not limited to ANSI, ISO, EMV.
  • Experience implementing and managing storage encryption with external key managers using KMIP protocol.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing App-Level Encryption or Tokenization using Rest APIs, and languages such as C++, Java, python, etc.
  • Experience with networking and Security infrastructure, e.g., firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, Networking (on-prem, hybrid, cloud), DLPs, CASB, etc.
  • Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, especially in Secrets Management, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker.
