Accounting Manager with German

For our Client, a global logistics company, we are looking for an Accounting Manager with proficient knowledge of HGB and the German language. The role's main purpose is to ensure the delivery of all accounting, compliance, financial and reporting processes for two German services entities. Possibility of a full remote work model in Poland.

Responsibilities:

• support local statutory & compliance including VAT returns, payroll, tax returns,
• perform compliance & reporting tasks in line with defined accounting processes,
• ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under group US GAAP and local HGB standards,
• prepare German - US GAAP adjustments when required,
• provide input to judgment journals required during the period-end process,
• ensure period-end processes are executed in a timely and accurate manner,
• support Regional Financial Controllers with action plans for balance sheet items,
• fix asset posting and reconciliation of annual financial statements according to German GAAP.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Chief Accountant, Certified Accountant or GL managerial roles,
• strong knowledge of German accounting regulations (HGB) is a must,
• knowledge of US GAAP regulations would be an asset,
• fluent in German and English, both spoken and written,
• analytical thinking skills, independent, structured, and conscientious work style,
• support decisions and influence business counterparts.
