Our Content Designers develop content strategy and solutions for complex problems and services. In this role, you will:
Create and translate user stories into needs-led content and experiences, recommending appropriate design approaches.
Make complex information and processes easy to understand, presenting the right information in the right format to meet user need.
Design the structure, layout, and hierarchy of content to meet user needs.
You
As a Content Designer, you will use insight and evidence to design user-centred content and experiences for RNID’s products and services. You will use your experience in content design to proactively deliver the organisation’s objectives, collaborating with colleagues to develop and embed Agile ways of working. You will apply content design standards and methods to make sure our solutions are based on evidenced need, highlighting opportunities for improvement across our work.
Person specification
Confident, purpose driven and have a knowledge or willingness to learn about deaf culture.
Proven experience in UX writing and content design for digital products.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, researchers, subject-matter experts and product managers.
Experience applying content standards to your work e.g. style guides.
Knowledge of accessibility best practice for digital content e.g. WCAG.
Understanding and experience of user research methods and the ability to translate insights into actionable design strategy.
Qualifications
Professional experience in content design. No formal qualifications are needed for this role.
