Job description

Qdrant is an open-source, high-performance vector database and similarity search engine, designed to power AI-driven applications. Our technology helps developers build state-of-the-art semantic search, RAG, recommendation systems, and large-scale AI solutions. We are growing our DevRel team and looking for passionate individuals to help shape the future of vector search technology.


Tasks

As a Developer Advocate, you will be the voice of Qdrant within the global developer community. Your mission is to educate, engage, and empower developers by creating technical content, fostering open-source contributions, and advocating for best practices in vector search and machine learning applications. You will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to drive adoption and build a strong community around Qdrant.


Requirements

Community Engagement: Grow and nurture Qdrant’s developer community through forums, social media, Discord, and GitHub.


Technical Content Creation: Write blog posts, tutorials, and documentation to help developers integrate Qdrant into their projects.


Public Speaking & Events: Represent Qdrant at conferences, webinars, hackathons, and meetups to advocate for vector search technology.


Developer Support & Onboarding: Help new users get started with Qdrant by creating educational resources and improving documentation.


Open-Source Contributions: Collaborate with developers to improve Qdrant’s open-source project by reviewing PRs, resolving issues, and gathering feedback.


Product Feedback & Advocacy: Act as a bridge between the developer community and the Qdrant engineering team to ensure our technology evolves based on real-world needs.

What We’re Looking For



  • Experience in Developer Advocacy or Technical Evangelism, with a passion for engaging with developers.

  • Strong programming skills in Python or Rust, with experience in databases, search engines, or ML applications.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.

  • Hands-on experience with vector search, embeddings, or AI-powered search technologies is a big plus.

  • Experience contributing to open-source projects and familiarity with GitHub workflows.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for conferences, events, or team gatherings.
