If YES join our logistic team as a Supplier Quality Engineer! We are the Purchase-To-Pay team within GBS in Siemens and at this moment we need a new experienced colleague in field of supplier quality management.
What are the main tasks of the Supplier Quality Engineer?
Establishes and performs appropriate digital quality control of delivered goods and services according to business and product risks
Initiates complaint management process of detected non-conformances and supports root cause analysis as well as preventive measurements together with supplier and internal interfaces (creates SAP Q-Notifications, 8D-Reports, cost transparency/negotiation via SAP Debit-notes with support of SQEs, buyers and CCB members)
Escalates quality inspection needs at supplier site or warehouse incoming inspections based on information exchange with dedicated cross functions
Provides technology support for materials or products and elaborates testing specifications with dedicated cross functions
Evaluates and reports on supplier performance and supports definitions of effective measures in accordance with the 8D-philosophy
Contributes to improvement of supplier check/test strategy for incoming goods
Ensure replacement of deliveries, warehouse & Headquarters handling of defect parts together with supplier, logistics and buyers to ensure fast defect analysis as well as delivery ability
Contributes in inhouse quality meetings as well as with suppliers and represents Siemens
What do we expect from the Supplier Quality Engineer?
Good knowledge and proven track record in Quality Management
Good command of German and English language (communication with German factories and distribution centers and suppliers around the world)
Experience with quality control from manufacturing or distribution centers environment
Familiar with Complaint Management, Root Cause Analysis processes and Continuous Development
Experience with Supplier Audits and Supplier Development
Preferably some technical background (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
Above average soft skills expected - professional communication, able to work on more complex issues remotely, able to come up with pragmatic solutions, drive & engagement
