The purpose of the Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy and Execution position for US Structural Heart is to drive Commercial Excellence for the national field sales organization. The role reports to the Director, Global Commercial Excellence. The individual selected for this position will drive operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration to help achieve national sales goals. This role will collaborate with US sales leadership team on development of annual operating plan, field territory optimization, customer segmentation, product launch readiness, and ongoing field sales execution.

What You’ll Work On

Serve as thought partner to Divisional Vice President, US Structural Heart to shape sales leadership team’s strategic priorities and field execution. Drive initiatives for customer segmentation, territory optimization, performance tracking and continuous improvement of salesforce effectiveness.

Establish credibility for process optimization. Act as a liaison to help other Structural Heart functions both support and access the field selling organization.

  • Align with Divisional Vice President, US Structural Heart as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner.
  • Own responsibility for the design and rollout of field-facing reports, presentations and dashboards.
  • Drive agenda for Sales Vice President’s weekly leadership meeting and quarterly Plan of Action (POA) meetings to be held in-field by commercial leaders.
  • Manage monthly business review process for multiple product franchises to communicate sales team progress toward Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overall strategic initiatives to President, Structural Heart and cross-functional DVPs.
  • Develop analytics toolkit to inform strategic insights and commercial decision making.
  • Partner with Information Technology (IT) to enable commercial execution via salesforce effectiveness tools.
  • Build trusted relationships to partner with US Field Sales Leaders, Global Marketing, and US Finance Organization toward shared goals for Structural Heart growth and operational excellence.
  • Align commercial strategy and execution to help achieve national sales goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in medical device industry is required, minimum 10 years.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment; compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Travel required: up to 25%.
  • Ability to define sales strategies that consider market trends, customer requirements, competitive pressures, and field team needs to achieve national sales targets.
  • Expertise in analyzing data from various sources (customer feedback, sales reports, market analytics, etc.) to guide sales leadership decision-making and processes.
  • Experience shaping digital sales tools, sales force automation.
  • Proven success with implementing reports/dashboard that are customized to meet the needs of field sales representatives and front-line sales managers.
  • Analytical proficiency and experience recognizing data-based insights and presenting data visualizations to guide sales leadership decision making.
  • Must bring examples demonstrating ability to build trust and work collaboratively across functions to help cross-functional colleagues with achievement of their business goals.
  • Manage/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate professional presence and interpersonal skills appropriate for executive-level presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • Prior Structural Heart commercial experience.
  • Location: California or Minnesota preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$127,300.00 – $254,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
