Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Account Executive – Financial Services with deep domain knowledge and a strong track record in selling to financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex sales cycles within banks, insurance companies, and asset managers, and will be instrumental in shaping Lakera’s footprint in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire new financial services logos and develop tailored sales strategies to exceed revenue targets.

  • Identify and engage key decision-makers at banks, insurers, and other financial institutions.

  • Navigate complex procurement cycles including compliance, security reviews, and legal frameworks common in financial services.

  • Be the trusted advisor to financial services prospects and customers, guiding them through the evolving AI security landscape.

  • Lead the expansion into the financial vertical by surfacing new customer segments and use cases unique to finance.

  • Provide structured feedback to product and marketing teams to align our value proposition with financial sector needs.

  • Shape product roadmaps and features based on customer insights from the financial services industry.

  • Maintain accurate deal hygiene and forecasting within Hubspot.

  • Contribute to sales playbooks, processes, and best practices – with a focus on financial sector-specific nuances.

Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a strong emphasis on the financial services sector (e.g., banking, insurance, fintech).

  • Experience selling AI, cybersecurity, or data-related technologies to large, regulated enterprises.

  • Track record of exceeding quota with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry’s regulatory and compliance landscape.

  • Early-stage startup experience and a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • A passion for advanced AI systems and belief in the importance of secure, ethical development of AI.

Location: San Francisco

Office/ Travel: Hybrid / 50% global travel
