Job description

If you’re a pragmatic professional who has worked in a team with commercial experience as a CMS specialist in back-end or full-stack disciplines, this could be the role for you! You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with clients during the scoping and implementation phase of their projects, using mainly Umbraco, although previous exposure to other CMSs would be beneficial to this role too.

The role

Leading the .NET development by example, you will initially report directly to the Development Lead, providing your input into how projects are delivered. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a series of front-end projects, allowing you to exhibit various UX skills and explore exciting projects such as gamification and showcase booths.

Your other duties include:

  • Producing high-quality technical solutions that help clients achieve their goals
  • Contributing to the scoping, planning and documentation of projects
  • Creating new functionality or maintaining existing websites and applications with enhancements and updates
  • Communicating technical solutions at an appropriate level to mixed audiences, including clients

What you’ll need

  • Previous commercial experience in a .NET web-development role
  • Experience developing content and templates with a CMS
  • A comprehensive front-end skillset across HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks such as Pug
  • Solid experience with version-control systems (preferably Git/GitFlow) and team workflows
  • Ability to produce and review high-quality, clean code
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • Umbraco 11+ CMS experience
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Broader experience of working with frameworks such as React, Next.js or Laravel
  • A software engineering or computer science degree, or a relevant apprenticeship qualification
