The Diagnostics and Genomics Sales Specialist (SS) and Field Application Specialist (FAS) is responsible for leading the Diagnostics and Genomics portfolio strategy and tactics, as well as providing technical support to customers. The time allocation for this role will be 70% as an FAS and 30% as an SS.

This position reports to the Diagnostic Commercial Leader and is part of the APAC Diagnostics and Genomics team located in Seoul, Korea, and will be fully remote with regular travel to customer sites in Korea.

What you will do:

  • Achieve Business Unit sales targets through direct sales activities with customers and by partnering with Account Managers and the channel team
  • Work and communicate closely with the Global and APAC teams to set strategies, execute strategies and tactics, report numbers, and obtain any necessary help and solutions
  • Take part in the annual planning process, including Strategic Plans, budgets, and forecasts, and in regular Financial and Operational Reviews such as Revenue Reviews and Project meetings to monitor progress
  • Responsible for providing pre- and post-sale technical support, product demonstrations, seminars, training, and supporting territory sales objectives
  • Provide feedback to the wider commercial teams on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings

Who you are:

  • Master's or PhD degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology, life sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial or technical experience, preferably in the diagnostics, life sciences, medical, or healthcare-related industry
  • Ability to provide technical and applications-based support to customers in molecular biology and/or immunodiagnostics assay fields

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements:

  • Fluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications 한국어 및 영어로의 서면 및 구두 의사소통능력이 높으신 분
  • Ability to travel abroad upon business needs 해외여행에 결격사유가 없으신 분
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations 운전을 하여 담당하는 국내 고객사에 방문할 수 있는 분
  • If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law 대한민국에서의 근무가 가능한 비자가 있는 분
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 5kg, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing, Organoid or Chemiluminescence is a plus
