What you’ll do as a Manager, Training Quality & Effectiveness - Telecom Construction
Assess Training Effectiveness: Implement the Kirkpatrick Model to evaluate training impact, from knowledge retention to real-world application in fiber optic installation, pole climbing, safety procedures, and network deployment
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in training materials, instructor delivery, and hands-on workshops, ensuring that training aligns with field expectations and telecom construction best practices
Collaborate with Operations Teams: Work with construction managers, field supervisors, and safety teams to assess how training translates to on-the-job performance
Monitor Training KPIs: Track key metrics such as onboarding effectiveness, skills competency, and employee retention, providing leadership with actionable insights
Standardize Training Evaluations: Develop assessment tools, surveys, and field tests to measure trainee performance and instructor effectiveness
Audit Training Materials: Regularly review curricula, videos, and hands-on training modules to ensure they are up-to-date with current telecom construction methods and safety regulations
Recommend Enhancements: Work with training developers to improve learning pathways for splicing, underground/aerial work, equipment operations, and jobsite safety
What You’ll Need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training & Development, Telecommunications, or Construction Management. Equivalent experience considered
8-10 years in training evaluation, quality assurance, or workforce development within telecom construction, utilities, or infrastructure industries
Experience implementing Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation or similar training assessment models
Strong knowledge of telecom construction (fiber optics, splicing, aerial/underground installation, lineman work)
Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and training data analytics
Ability to translate data into actionable improvements for training effectiveness
Travel: Ability to travel 25-50% to training sites and subsidiary locations
