The Vice President, Corporate Affairs is a key leadership role within the office of the Chief Business Officer. Reporting directly to the CBO, he / she will be responsible for strategically shaping, building, integrating and executing Parexel’s Internal Communications, environmental / social / governance (ESG) and business continuity long-term plans, campaigns and key initiatives. He / she will also be responsible for building, managing and retaining a top-talent team that collaborates effectively and serves as a proactive, expert resource to business functions across the company. The VP, Corporate Affairs will also serve on the CBO’s leadership team and will play a critical role in building team culture, supporting the efforts of other CBO leaders (Marketing & External Comms, Value & Strategy, APAC Strategy, Office of the CEO) and acting as a trusted senior advisor to executive leaders across the company.
Key Accountabilities:
- Critical to this role’s success is the ability to integrate for greater efficiency and effectiveness; will be key to work closely and collaboratively with the SVP, Marketing & External Communications and VP, Value & Strategy, along with other company leaders, to successfully execute against strategic and tactical plans
- Design, build and execute strategic, effective and impact-driven global internal communications campaigns and integrated plans – focus on informing and engaging team members is ALL geographies and business functions, aligning them with corporate behaviors, core values and KPI metrics
- Work closely with Human Resources (and other functions) to design, build and execute strategic, effective and impact-driven global team member engagement activities focused on building employer brand value, fostering corporate culture and attracting and retaining top industry talent
- Define, develop and execute ESG and corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategic and tactical plans covering – but not limited to – sustainability, business continuity and corporate philanthropy; work collaboratively across other functional teams (i.e. Facilities, HR, Legal, Accounting, Quality, Procurement, etc.) to successfully execute key initiatives and reporting / communications outputs
- Work with Chief Business Officer and CBO peers to lead and grow functional team, cultivating talent and reinforcing positive culture; serve as an expert resource to peers, Executive Team and Board of Directors
- Other Corporate Affairs duties, as required

Knowledge and Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role will bring the following knowledge and proven experience:
- Senior-level experience responsible for all aspects of a global company’s corporate affairs, internal communications and engagement strategy, programs and tactical execution
- Experience counseling and collaboratively interacting with executive teams and boards of directors, providing communications insights, recommendations and updates
- Proven experience and effectiveness in leading large teams, building and reinforcing team culture and attracting, developing and retaining top talent
- Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships across key business functions, driving greater program effectiveness and success
Education:
The ideal candidate for this role will have one / multiple of the following educational qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, HR or related field
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, HR or related field
- Professional society membership / connection in marketing, public relations or related field
