About The Opportunity

Want to have an immediate impact on total rewards strategy as SWCA Environmental Consultants continues our growth? You’ll administer key processes and projects for compensation and benefits, analyzing data and providing reporting. You’ll have an opportunity to jump right into creating new salary structures and job descriptions, in collaboration with leadership teams and consultants. You’ll have advanced skills in Excel and experience in compensation, with exposure to benefit or retirement plan administration and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.

The Project level Total Rewards Analyst is a regular, full-time, position that will report to the Total Rewards Manager. This position is eligible for either hybrid-based from any SWCA office location or distributed (remote).

Under this job requisition, we may hire the following job position:

  • Associate Total Rewards Analyst- Typically with up to three (3) years of relevant experience and expertise.
  • Total Rewards Analyst - Typically with up to five (5) years of relevant experience and expertise.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Implements and manages Total Rewards programs that are aligned with company goals and objectives to promote employee health and well-being. Develops and implements compensation programs that add value to company culture by rewarding employee performance, motivating employees, and ensuring clarity in salary and benefits decisions.
  • Ensures programs are competitive and meet the diverse needs of employees.
  • Provides employee support and guidance in response to compensation and benefits inquiries.
  • Provides expert guidance and support to HR team members and managers on compensation or benefits matters.
  • Facilitates understanding and resolution of complex issues.
  • Conducts research to resolve Total Rewards issues, discrepancies, or errors.
  • Conducts comprehensive market analyses to ensure competitive and equitable Total Rewards structures.
  • Analyzes and interprets data on Total Rewards program usage and effectiveness and enhances programs to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Communicates Total Rewards program details to employees to ensure understanding and engagement, including creating, reviewing, and managing employee-facing content.
  • Delivers effective training programs to educate employees and leaders about Total Rewards offerings.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains department standard operating procedures, to ensure consistency and compliance in program administration.
  • Oversees benefit enrollments and maintains benefits data with vendors/carriers.
  • Develops and implements employee recognition programs to foster a culture of appreciation.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, tribal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, and specifications.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Experience And Qualifications For Success

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with complex data sets, models, and reports.
  • Solid knowledge of compensation and benefits administration and practices, including salary structures, job evaluation methods, market pricing, benefit/retirement plan design and administration.
  • Advanced HRIS and Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills for data integrity and accuracy, as well as project and time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration - internally and externally.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply relevant laws and regulations across various states for ensuring compliance and reporting.
  • Knowledge is normally obtained through post-secondary education or training; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of relevant, progressively responsible experience. Five years of related experience is preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience, performance, training, and/or education.

An employee in this Phoenix, AZ-based position can expect a pay rate for an Associate Total Rewards Analyst of $30.71- $40.16/hr, and for a Total Rewards Analyst -- $73,164 - $96,096/yr. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
