Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager in Cloud Delivery, you will lead key areas of Deltek’s software delivery framework, enabling developers to build highly collaborative experiences easily and reliably. You will have end-to-end ownership of your areas, including design, code, test, and redefining product/service delivery. You will partner deeply across disciplines and partner teams to deliver results that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own complete solutions across their entire lifecycle, in both good and challenging times.
• Manage and contribute technically during escalations.
• Drive the overall architecture of solution delivery and infrastructure within the team and across the organization.
• Work closely across teams and disciplines to shape solutions that provide value to our customers.
• Drive solution implementation across multiple tech stacks from 18 different products.
• Comply with project plans and industry standards.
• Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and customer focus within the team.
• Lead by example with high levels of technical excellence, including participating in design, code, and test reviews.
• Mentor junior team members professionally, sharing your experience and wisdom.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 12 years of overall experience in software development and infrastructure management.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer working with enterprise-grade products and backend development languages like JavaScript, NodeJS, C#, Python, etc.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and systems at scale on public cloud infrastructure like AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure, etc.
• 3+ years of experience applying an automation-first approach to problem-solving using configuration management tools and scripting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a people manager, leading a team of engineers by setting clear expectations, keeping team members energized, and delivering great results.
• Technical Skills:
• Infrastructure-as-Code mentality with tools like Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Demonstrated experience in building high-quality products or services.
• Experience delivering successful web or cloud projects.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills: ability to explain work, ask great questions, listen to peers and customers, influence without authority, and give and receive feedback.
• Passion for building software that solves real problems for real people.
• Commitment to writing well-designed, easy-to-test, and maintainable code.
