Job description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Crisis Management to lead their company's crisis response initiatives. In this critical role, you will develop and implement strategies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from various crises affecting the organization. Your expertise will help safeguard our reputation and ensure the safety and security of our employees and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement comprehensive crisis management plans and protocols.
  • Lead cross-functional teams during crises to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential crises.
  • Train and prepare employees on crisis response procedures and drills.
  • Monitor emerging threats and industry trends to proactively address potential crises.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate crisis management into the overall organizational strategy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for crisis situations and communicate with stakeholders, media, and government agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in crisis management, risk management, or related fields, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing crisis situations and implementing response strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in media relations.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs on crisis management.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and best practices in crisis management.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for crisis response and training.
