About the role
The IMCS DBA team operates within Managed Cloud Services and overseas managed database services on a global scale. As a shared model DBA team, we are providing support to 30+ MSP customers.
Along the way, you will get to:
- Installation and configuration of PostgreSQL on Linux/Windows and PAAS Environments.
- Installing and Managing PostgreSQL database on Azure/AWS VMs, Provisioning Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server or Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and management.
- Creation and managing of PostgreSQL Schema, Tables, Tablespaces and Users, Roles Groups.
- Experience in patching, upgradations, and migrations.
- Upgrading from PostgreSQL to latest versions
- Good knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting.
- PostgreSQL Index Management, Partitioning and System Catalogs.
- Expert in Backup Recovery including Pg dump, pg_dumpall, pg_basebackup, Setting up WAL archiving, Point in time recovery.
- Experience in PG Admin and other PostgreSQL tools and utilities.

What we’re looking for
- Strong command of PostgreSQL and PostgreSQL server tools.
- Experience in a MySQL Server DBA.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PostgreSQL database Administration certification.
- Azure/AWS Certification.
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills.
- Knowledge of MSSQL/CosmosDB.
