JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Product Management and Marketing is responsible for the development, management, and marketing of the Company’s Products to deliver profitable growth of revenue and market share. Leads the product development life cycle through market research, rapid ideation and proof-of-concept, design and build, launch, and support. Develops and executes marketing plans that drive customer demand. May focus on products in one or more verticals, segments, and channels.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to identify and validate new product opportunities or existing product enhancements.
- Develop a product thesis; build and present compelling business cases to garner support and secure financial investment of product initiatives.
- Develop annual roadmaps and quarterly execution plans for all existing and new products.
- Partner across the business, including Sales, IT, Operations, and Marketing, to develop product concepts from ideation to market launch and operationalize products into systems, processes, and procedures.
- Project manage the product development process; develop detailed project plans, facilitate project meetings, track key decisions and project gates, identify and resolve obstacles, and ensure product development projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- In concert with Revenue Management team, develop pricing strategies to drive profitable growth and meet revenue targets.
- Partner with Sales to develop and execute a sales approach to differentiate and drive the adoption of the Company’s products with existing and prospective customers.
- Collaborate with Application Development team on the development and deployment of digital products and technology solutions.
- Develop and execute product marketing strategies for new and existing products, including market and customer segmentation, competitor analysis, product suitability, go-to-market plans, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop and execute internal product education campaigns to ensure all stakeholders have a clear and consistent understanding of the Product purpose, value proposition, target market, use cases, pricing and margins, go-to-market strategy, etc.
- Set, measure, and track product-specific goals and outcomes, including revenue, margin, return on investment (ROI), adoption, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Understand current and emerging trends in digital marketing, mobile marketing, technology, and ecommerce
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Process orientation; demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development and digital product evolution with the ability to develop financial models supporting development.
- Project management skills in a digital environment; will have demonstrated the ability to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; will understand how to align resources, seek the input of key constituents, and manage others to achieve desired results;
- Understanding of the new product development timeline/lifecycle and IT / software and platform development with a bias for BI / AI product integration.
- Strong communication skills - ability to identify and communicate opportunities, challenges, risks, and change requirements in a timely and responsive manner and report on all aspects of development across the organization (cross-departmental as well as C Suite)
- Strong persuasion skills, including the proficiency to build an investment thesis and defend it in front of executive audiences with quantifiable ROI
- Effective at influencing and convincing others into action yet able to also be a good team member/player
