The Director of Compliance will have a strategic role in managing and optimizing compliance-related processes to support Accurate and Accurate's customers. They will ensure compliance with the FCRA, internal policies and procedures, and applicable state and local laws. This leader will also oversee a team of professionals in tracking the changing laws, creating communication to customers, and other compliance operations functions, driving performance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with U.S. legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for background screening and Accurate’s operational compliance, including, but not limited to, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), state-specific regulations, artificial intelligence, and data privacy.Monitor and analyze changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.Collaborate with leadership and other departments to integrate compliance into business operations, products, and services, including ensuring compliance with changing regulationsManage and resolve compliance-related complaints or customers escalations and follow through to resolution as necessary.Provide training and education to employees and customers on compliance requirements and regulatory updates.Achieving department objectives by leading their team, streamlining work processes, and overseeing performance metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Emphasis on law or compliance administration is preferred.In-depth knowledge of Compliance, FCRA and state background screening related laws required, including but not limited to, adverse action, dispute requirements, CRA and End User requirementsPrior supervisory and leadership experience requiredExceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task each day to meet schedule demands and complete tasks in a timely mannerEffective communication and presentation, including conflict resolutionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effectively troubleshoot and problem solve Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledgeAbility to work independently and accomplish tasks without direct supervisionAbility to work well with people from many different disciplines Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce) The Accurate Way:
