ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for writing and search engine optimising website copy across our brands, to maximise engagement, generate leads and effectively communicate our offering and value propositions.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, within the Marketing department, you will work closely with the other Marketing teams including, Product Marketing, Web Dev & UX, Creative, Email Marketing, Social Media, Digital Ads, SEO & Marketing Project Management.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write compelling, engaging copy with the goal of increasing brand awareness, web traffic and lead generation
  • Develop engaging, channel appropriate marketing copy that will raise brand awareness and generate leads. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing copy for:
    • Award submissions
    • Advertising
    • Sales brochures
    • Case studies
    • Blog articles
    • Website pages (landing, product and feature pages)
  • Meticulously edit and proofread copy to ensure content is accurate, relevant and error-free
  • Independently or partner with the SEO team in selection of relevant keywords
  • Search engine optimise (SEO) the content you write with the selected keywords
  • Assist with answering and assigning marketing tickets amongst the team
  • Conduct industry research, keep up to date on marketing trends and best practices and apply this to your work
  • Utilise AI tools for generating ideas, first drafts, optimising content and increasing overall efficiency
  • Research channel specific writing techniques, in order to adapt your writing style to various channels
  • Research and identify opportunities to improve webpage layout, conversion rates and reader engagement in partnership with other teams
  • Report to management on project and task progress, blog readership stats, website conversion rates, average session duration, and other key performance metrics
  • Provide proofing and editing support where needed
  • Where needed and where time permits, assist the SEO team with additional tasks

ESSENTIAL – you must possess these skills:
  • 3+ years’ experience writing marketing copy
  • 1+ years' experience optimising content for search engines (SEO)
  • Experience utilising ChatGPT or other AI tools to generate ideas, write first drafts and optimise content
  • Experience writing content for a wide variety of channels such as website content, advertising copy, brochure copy, award submissions etc.
  • Excellent research, writing, editing, proofreading and typing skills
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and motivation
  • A team player who is receptive to feedback
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines

DESIRABLE – bonus if you possess these skills:
  • Experience developing landing page content that converts
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Experience optimising content for SEO keywords
  • Experience using Google Analytics

KPI – your performance will be based on:
  • Ability to meet due dates
  • Quality and quantity of work
