GeoDin, a strategic software initiative within Fugro’s Accelerate Business Build (ABB) program, is expanding its presence in North America. We are seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition efforts across the Public Sector, including Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and major Engineering Service Providers (ESPs). This role requires an experienced, well-connected professional who can accelerate lengthy procurement cycles and convert key accounts into adopting GeoDin within three months.

The ideal candidate is an industry veteran with deep relationships in DOTs and ESPs, who understands government procurement processes and can navigate large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects. This high-impact, strategic role requires strong sales acumen, technical expertise in geotechnical solutions, and a proven ability to drive high-value contracts. Salary range: $120-$140k base salary per year.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Establish and expand relationships within Public Sector (including DOTs) and ESPs to drive strategic adoption of GeoDin’s geotechnical software.
  • Target and engage decision-makers in prioritized DOTs.
  • Accelerate long procurement cycles, ensuring pilot projects and contract conversions.
  • Drive high-value enterprise sales with large ESPs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand the impact of geotechnical data management on their projects.
  • Represent GeoDin at industry conferences, trade shows, and high-profile meetings.
  • Educate and influence key stakeholders on the value of geotechnical data integration in infrastructure planning.
  • Position GeoDin Ground Plugin for Autodesk Civil 3D as the preferred solution for geotechnical data integration.
  • Upskill and coach the broader sales team in effective sales pitching, industry-specific value articulation, and deal architecture to enable scalable growth.
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to develop custom proposals, pitch materials, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to tailor demonstrations and software implementations for high-value clients.
  • Provide market feedback to the product team to drive future innovations in geotechnical software solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Communications, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, procurement, or strategic partnerships within public sector transportation agencies (DOTs) or leading ESPs.
  • Proven track record of closing large enterprise deals, particularly with public sector contracts and large engineering firms.
  • Deep understanding of DOT procurement cycles and ability to accelerate lengthy contract approvals.
  • Existing relationships with key stakeholders in DOTs and ESPs, allowing for quick market penetration.
  • Understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering software and workflows (Autodesk Civil 3D experience is a strong plus).
  • History of achieving aggressive sales targets and delivering revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Travel up to 30% as needed.
