RSM US LLP is looking to add a dynamic Sales Training Manager to our North American Sales Organization!

The Sales Training Manager identifies and develops learning-related business initiatives. This includes working closely with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate the business’s learning curriculum. Primary responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, designing learning curriculums, and working with subject matter experts to develop content—all of which include education, experiences, exposure and environment.

The manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, managing and controlling the activities of the assigned NAS curriculum. This includes planning, coordinating, collaborating with LPD resources, providing status reporting and communication, leading and managing project execution with a continuous improvement focus, guiding teams in problem solving activities and influencing important change initiatives. Partners with Sales Leadership, National Line of Business (LOB) leaders, and other key stakeholders to achieve organizational excellence in support of company vision, including on-time delivery, quality learning programs and productivity improvement/cost effective strategies.

The manager will also work on special projects related to the NAS’ learning strategy and firm initiatives that support the firm, talent, and LPD strategies.

This position will work closely with the broader LPD team to ensure firm needs are addressed (consistency across other Business Partners, as appropriate) and to leverage instructional design and technological solutions. Coordination with various departments and other resources within the organization is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides critical leverage in advising, developing, planning, executing, and evaluating the practice and program curriculum to support the Firm, NAS, talent, and learning strategies.
  • Serving as a learning advisor to leaders, subject matter experts, curriculum owners, and developers to uncover and define learning needs and design appropriate learning and development solutions that address the needs of the business.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders, e.g. LOB and product teams, to support the overall success of the learning and development plan(s).
  • Develop certification(s) program that supports Specialist and Qualified designations for NAS team members across designated practice areas.
  • Partnering with a resource manager to plan and coordinate LPD resources and utilization.
  • Observing training and reviewing facilitator and program evaluations. Summarizing, providing feedback and offering creative solutions for enhancements, as appropriate.
  • Any new system development necessary aligns with enterprise processes and leverages what is available.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, instructional design, human resource development or related area

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles, including evaluation design and assessment skills

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Previous experience managing multiple projects of high to moderate risk
  • Previous experience facilitating small group meetings
  • Practical knowledge of learning implementation and employee development
  • Managing projects and stakeholders
  • Client service and issue resolution
  • Compiling and reviewing data to make business decisions
  • Previous experience in public accounting or business consulting environment

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Ability to manage multiple milestone projects, including the ability to supervise, direct and review the results of the project
  • Ability to work with individuals from multiple levels within the organization.
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
