General Description

We are searching for a Data Engineer, with expertise in Upsolver, Firebolt and AWS to work with a team to align engineering with business objectives. This role is responsible to ensure the data architecture is scalable and to correct issues as they arise.

Must be able to clearly communicate in English with both team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural guidance for data pipelines, data modeling, and analytics infrastructure.

• Act as a bridge between technical and business teams to ensure data solutions align with strategic goals.

• Work closely with ETL/ELT engineers using Upsolver and Firebolt to design and optimize high-performance data flows.

• Help the team resolve ambiguity by facilitating technical decision-making and clarifying business priorities.

• Review code and data architecture for quality, scalability, and performance.

• Guide best practices in data governance, security, and documentation.

• Advocate for continuous improvement and innovation across the data function.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering working as a strong individual contributor and mentor.

• Expertise with Upsolver, Firebolt, and AWS data infrastructure.

• Must have a problem-solving mindset with strong critical-thinking skills to assess needs and propose solutions.

• Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and analytics-ready data sets.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to speak both “engineering” and “business.”

• Experience navigating complex, ambiguous challenges and turning them into clear plans of action.

• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Looker and Apache Superset.

• Must have experience working with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps/DataOps practices.

• Experience working with globally distributed teams

• Background in stakeholder-facing roles such as product management, analytics, or data strategy
