  • Financial Operations: Own the day-to-day financial operations and streamline the process for customer invoicing, vendor payables, credit charges & employee expenses.
  • Accounting Activities.  Lead daily accounting activities including payroll entries, general ledger and bank transactions by ensuring proper recording of transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Systems Improvements: Lead accounting automation projects, focusing on scalable finance and reporting system design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate on the preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting package, which includes variance analysis, gross margin and contribution margin analysis, etc.
  • Treasury Operations: Provide critical support with cash flow management, including forecasting, monitoring liquidity, and optimizing working capital to support business needs across all entities.
  • Tax Reporting and Compliance.  Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Who You Are

  • Accounting Expertise: 4-6+ years of professional experience ideally with a mix of public accounting and startup industry.  Experience in healthcare and/or professional services organizations is a plus.
  • Willing to Roll-Up Sleeves and Live At All Levels: You are comfortable with operating across all levels of the accounting function from AR bill collections to financial statement consolidation & reporting.
  • Builder: You are not afraid of ambiguity and are willing to take the time to understand & build new processes from scratch.  You understand that mastering the craft is by doing.
  • Low ego: You have a low ego and prioritize the success of the business.  You understand that your growth coincides with business growth and success.
  • Detail Obsessed with Solid Judgment: You obsess over a high quality work product, while understanding when good enough is warranted.
