Description

Job Summary: The Corporate Quality Control and Sustainability Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of quality assurance processes and driving sustainability initiatives within the organization. This role develops strategies that align with both company goals and regulatory standards to ensure products and services meet the highest standards of quality while adhering to environmental regulations and sustainability goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes to ensure product and service excellence.
  • Ensure all elements of the production chain including suppliers and vendors are compliant with the organization’s quality control and sustainability programs.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Execute the customer concern response procedures and conduct root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, certifications, regulatory requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations.
  • Execute change management strategies against evolving regulatory and organizational needs
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and sustainability standards and effectiveness of quality assurance practices
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality control and sustainability practices.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality and sustainability goals and performance to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality control and sustainability.
  • Create and deliver presentations and reports on quality assurance and sustainability initiatives to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control and sustainability management with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Associated experience in quality management, e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001 or Sustainability (e.g., Bcorp, BRC,LEED, GRI) etc.

Conditions:

  • Requires 25% travel to conduct regular site visits with suppliers, vendors and production centers within the domestic U.S.

Annual salary range:   $115k – $120k. This annual salary range reflects the expected hiring range for this position. Please note that this salary refers to the amount DFWS is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. DFWS offers an array of benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan (with generous company matching contributions), generous paid time off, and 10 paid company holidays per year.  This position is profit sharing and bonus eligible.
