JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Director Business Solutions, this position will manage and lead the Strategic Business Team in performing strategic & tactical analysis for internal and external customers. The scope of this position includes managing all phases of the quoting process from inception to completion; qualification of opportunities, defining strategies, acting as a liaison between sales and purchasing, analyzing quoted opportunities and follow-up, while ensuring value added analysis to assist sales in booking opportunities. Responsibility will also include Global coordination between regions and multi-site customers, documentation, training, preventing part and profit loss, incremental revenue growth, offering leading-edge solutions tailored to our customer’s individual needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualify all opportunities directly with sales team and recommend quote strategies
  • Manage and co-ordinate the clean-up and upload of raw BOM ensuring data accuracy
  • Create a pre-quote synopsis of each opportunity to identify line count, value, commodity spread, top brands, product life cycle and lead time analysis.
  • Manage the workflow of sourcing opportunities with Purchasing teams and Business Development group and ensure deadlines are clearly defined, communicated and achieved
  • Seek out necessary experts to assist in resolving any delays to the deadline
    ·          Ensure projects drive improvement towards Jabil’s top corporate initiatives
    ·          Develop tools, models and databases for team to utilize in their work
    ·          Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
  • Work with data owners as required, identifying data discrepancies & maintaining validation rules
  • Increase part count per customer, increase AVL expansion to existing customer base
  • Review costs to enhance/increase gross profit margin through data tracking (internal/external), delivering a competitive offer while preventing part & profit loss
  • Track, manage and review all quotations with analysts before presenting to sales
  • Provide a detailed executive summary of the final quote proposal to sales
  • Develop and maintain databases in order to provide measurable improvement in process, data collection, analysis, validation and system updates
    ·         Drive new system introduction & processes providing documentation and or training as required       

. Become an expert on new systems & processes

. Create workflow documents to assist training and development for all users

  • Work with cross functional experts to collect data for validation, analysis and KPI identification
  • Collaborate with sales to identify awards, non-awards/lost business, work with sales to gather customer feedback for re-quote or use for future metrics
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS 
Knowledge of or experience in the following fields (with experience of the supporting tools and metrics) are required: 

  • Industry knowledge of electronic component manufacturers and part numbers
  • Independent broker experience is a must
  • Hands-on experience with quoting processes and strategies
  • System development expertise
  • Strategic and innovative thinker
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven track record in training
  • Expert level of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) & adaptability to quickly learn new software packages. Advanced PC skills, including strong spreadsheet capability.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret customer RFQ’s.
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, internal clients
  • Strong and persuasive presentations skills
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, prioritize and re-prioritize workload.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


·         Bachelor's Degree required
·         5 years work-related experience required, preferably in independent space

·         Five years + of data processing, analysis and tool development experience
·         Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. 

Independent distribution experience

Has knowledge and understands the broker business

Experience with quote system development/troubleshooting/continuous process improvement

Global and multi-region and site experience

Managing team globally

Understands financial reporting
