POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for design engineering of electrical systems. Additionally, oversees and coordinates work flows and schedules with designated subcontractors. Possesses excellent knowledge of functional disciplines and their practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Responsible for making technical decisions in regards to electrical system design and application to ensure compliance with authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) regulatory criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation and/or review of electrical system design work products such as, single-line diagrams, equipment requirement specifications, system requirement specifications, system design descriptions, engineering studies, engineering reports, inspection, test, analysis & acceptance criteria (ITAAC) and associated calculations.
- Reconcile regulatory requirements, codes and standards between foreign and domestic electrical system design work products.
- Coordinates the design of electrical systems within project plans and goals.
- Perform independent design review of sub-contractor work products.
- Stays abreast of industry product development and utilizes best practices to provide company with highest quality products.
- Perform interdisciplinary review of work products of interfacing disciplines.
- Reviews and establishes project requirements, develops project schedules and coordinates their implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (power option preferred), from a four year ABET(MRA/MOU) accredited college or university, is required. A professional engineer license registration or advanced degree is considered.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience within commercial nuclear power, in a design and/or systems engineering organization, is required. Naval nuclear power experience may be credited towards a maximum of two years to the minimum required commercial experience. Most possess strong technical writing skills as well as having solid communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills. A high level of organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases is required. Must be capable to swiftly understand and integrate new information, and tasks, facilitating seamless adaptation to project demands.
- Preferred experience includes:
- Experience in the design and installation of stationary DC, AC distribution, cable and raceway systems as well as development of testing and installation procedures for this type of equipment for commercial nuclear plants.
- Commercial nuclear power, in a design and/or systems engineering organization.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations and guidelines into system design requirements for nuclear power plants.
- Proficient in mapping NRC regulatory requirements to specific system design parameters.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $108,908 - $131,441 annually. The full pay range is $97,642 - $152,722.
