Job description

As the Marketing Communications Manager on the Risk Strategies marketing team, you will play a critical role in bringing an omni-channel approach to the execution of company communications and the company’s growth goals. You will work closely with other members of the marketing team, other departments / divisions / practices and help to align communications programs for greatest employee experience, reach and effectiveness. We use a number of channels to execute a comprehensive marketing communication strategy. Internal channels include Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint and Teams. Primary external channels include websites and social media, and we create and publish extensive thought leadership in the form of blogs and whitepapers.

Your Impact:
  • Work with the marketing team to create and manage a holistic communications calendar that aligns with business objectives, content strategy and organic growth goals. This includes collaborating with the marketing team and business leaders to ensure consistency of internal and external communications methodology across corporate, practice and regional units, as well as updating the respective communications channels with messaging applicable to its audience
  • Support the communications and marketing of the company’s community and cultural initiatives including the charitable foundation and diversity, equity and inclusion program through sharing of stories in written or video format
  • Support communications of the company’s Accelerate organic growth programs both internally and externally to ensure sales and marketing alignment
  • Work closely with acquisitions, both new and legacy, on communications programs to employees, clients and the marketplace. Each acquisition will have unique needs to inform and support their internal and external audiences.
  • Work closely with the integration management office (IMO) and marketing team members to develop a marketing-specific onboarding program for new producer or producer teams.

Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications, or related area
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in insurance or financial services
  • Excellent short form writing, communication and presentation skills with the ability to create engaging content that aligns with our brand and growth goals to both internal and external audiences
  • Desire and openness to leverage new technology and AI tools
  • Experience with SharePoint, including updating content and news; Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint; Experience with Smartsheet and HubSpot is a plus.
