Job description

Job Title:
GTC Specialist Product Compliance

Summary:
This highly visible position is part of the global Trade Compliance organization of Momentive. It focuses on monitoring and maintaining product compliance for the physical import and export of Raw Materials, Intermediates and Finished Goods to and from the EU.

Responsibilities Include:

More specifically this does include the following tasks:

  • Execute the new product workflow (NPI WF) at Custom step, which requires screening product composition data and assess the use case under relevant legislation

  • Act as the interface between Momentive and designated national authorities (DNAs) for managing and maintaining license requirements up to date, to avoid disruption in company ability to supply its customers

  • Monitor relevant legislation for changes and translate requirements into existing process controls

  • Maintain Export Control field structure, license tables and product master data in SAP up to date

  • Provide guidance on new or changing legislation to relevant stakeholders in the organization

  • Participation in Business NPI reviews to provide regulatory guidance and help launching a “trade optimized” product

  • Working at all levels in the organization

  • Establish and maintain control matrix

  • Support / drive global process standardization within Momentive’s ERP system

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Degree in Chemistry (Master of Science)

  • Experience and expert knowledge in Chemical Product Regulations in the EU

  • Multiple years´ of work experience in a similar role

  • Analytical and process-driven thinking and acting

  • Strong communication skills

  • Intercultural competence

  • Highly experienced in working with Excel (Professional level)

  • Profound knowledge of common MS365 applications

  • Business fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical Background in the Silicone industry
  • Experience in international Trade
  • Profound knowledge of SAP
