Job Title:

UKG Pro Document Manager / HRSD SME Consultant (Certified)


Project Overview:

 seeking a certified UKG Pro Document Manager / HRSD Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead a critical project aimed at fixing, optimizing, and fully enabling their internal document management workflows within UKG. The client has faced ongoing challenges building a usable Document Library and needs a hands-on expert to evaluate, restructure, and implement the proper solutions with little guidance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the go-to expert for UKG Pro Document Manager and HRSD modules—must be certified.
  • Lead a full discovery process to evaluate current system gaps and poor configurations.
  • Fix and enhance the document workflows and approvals routing within UKG (e.g., tuition forms, work-from-home requests).
  • Provide actionable solutions based on real-world experience and previous client successes.
  • Work closely with the HRIS team to assess and replace broken or inefficient processes.
  • Communicate clearly what can and cannot be done within UKG—be the trusted voice of expertise and feasibility.
  • Support internal audit compliance by restructuring workflows that currently route back to individuals who cannot sign off on their own requests.
  • Provide customer references and case studies of past success with UKG Document Manager implementation.

Must-Haves:
  • UKG Pro Document Manager Certification Required.
  • Deep hands-on experience configuring and implementing HRSD / Document Management solutions within UKG.
  • Ability to explain past Document Manager projects in detail— must be painted clearly in candidate write-ups.
  • Must have customer references to verify prior work.
  • Ability to own the entire process from discovery to deployment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with or around difficult partnerships

Additional Notes:

 

  • The project history includes failed attempts to roll out a document library over the past 3 years.
  • A previous effort to launch a work-from-home request workflow was unsuccessful and needs to be reversed or redone.
  • The client prefers candidates who can quickly diagnose, propose solutions, and own delivery—not learn on the job.
  • The internal UKG support system lacks proactive support, so self-sufficiency and leadership are key.
