POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager, Marine is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the expansion of a key XOS business line. This position focuses on implementing strategic sales initiatives to grow revenue, enhance profitability, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Sales and Service and other cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth targets while fostering long-term relationships within the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Develop and periodically refine a focused strategic plan to drive revenue growth, improve performance, and establish tactical action plans for execution.
Customer Contract Management: Lead program transition deliverables, prioritizing customer contract transfers and new contract initiations to optimize recurring revenue.
Sales Operations Excellence: Establish standard work processes and best practices for sales operations, pursuit tracking, and Salesforce CRM management.
Pricing Strategy: Own and execute pricing strategies to ensure program profitability while identifying margin improvement opportunities.
Customer Prioritization: Analyze customer portfolios to identify opportunities for deeper penetration and increased recurring revenue or new sales.
Industry Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with customers, OEM contacts, partners, and industry leaders through visits and presence at events.
Market Insights: Provide strategic support by sharing market Voice of Customer (VOC) insights with leadership and product management teams to drive product innovation.
Performance Metrics: Monitor monthly sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Global Reach: Implement a proactive work style to ensure timely support across global markets.

Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years sales experience in technical sales management roles

Demonstrated ability to lead team through priority setting and effective sales operations strategies
Self-driven with strong initiative.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Proficiency in Salesforce CRM tools with demonstrated success in usage.
Knowledge of spectroscopy or X-ray technology (XRF) preferred.
Experience in the marine or petroleum industry is highly desirable.
Leadership skills with the ability to influence decision-making across diverse teams.
Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration in global settings.
Analytical problem-solving abilities with structured methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
