As Business Development Manager B2B, you will lead on high profile accounts Commercially focused, you will use your negotiation and influencing skills to develop a strategic regional plan that sets out the key objectives for DYSON and the wholesaler/retailer with ongoing planning of up to three years. 

As a business development manager, you'll be concerned with improving and growing a business for our portfolio of high-tech devices in a B2B environment, by fostering and developing relationships with end customers, distributors, specifiers and other partners. You will work to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets.  

The Business Development Manager (or BDM) will report directly to the Senior Sales Manager DACH. He/she will have a precisely defined region of where to go and what markets to focus on, with predetermined targets for the whole of the year, ensuring there is outstanding execution, sales growth, and rapidly growing awareness. 

Accountabilities 

  • Develop and implement a strategic regional plan over all verticals (sectors) 
  • Targeted acquisition of new customers as well as support and maintenance of existing customers  
  • Expanding regional high potential customers with KAM team and expanding potential 
  • Active strategic sale of the product portfolio 
  • Expansion and maintenance of wholesalers and partners in the sanitary/electrical sector and washroom specialists 
  • Perform individual tasks and responsibilities (e.g. incentive customers, partner management, …) within Switzerland, face-to-face on-site meetings and collaboration with relevant teams in all markets  
  • Maintain an ongoing contact with B2B decision-makers, and also investors and/or general contractors and architects 
  • Active use and analysing skills of the Salesforce CRM system as a work tool, with a focus on developing high quality leads 
  • Support and representation of the company at events and trade shows 
  • Close collaboration with the Sales, Marketing and Public Relations department 
  • Deliver sales and gross margin targets in line with budget 
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts 
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities 
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs 

About you

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager 3yrs+ preferable 
  • Commercial and/or technical experience within construction (i.e. sanitary or electrical equipment) preferable.  
  • Worked with and contributed to a high performing sales team 
  • You are technically interested and can spread the enthusiasm for Dyson technology 
  • Knowledge of CRM (e.g., salesforce) software and Microsoft Office  
  • An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics 
  • Having a sense of customer focus, excellent communication and negotiation skills are required 
  • Professional approach, entrepreneurship and independent working methods 
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude 
  • Availability to travel within Northern Germany region 
  • Fluent in German and good English and French skills in speech and writing is essential.
