Senior Data Scientist – Advanced Machine Learning & AI
Seattle WA /Remote

Experience Level: Senior (Ph.D. preferred)
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Data Scientist with deep expertise in advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cutting-edge AI methodologies, model optimization, and algorithm design, paired with experience leveraging cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI to deploy scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
  • Develop and implement advanced ML and AI models, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI, for complex business challenges.
  • Innovate in areas such as explainable AI, transfer learning, and real-time decision-making systems.
  • Design end-to-end ML pipelines, optimizing for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to translate business objectives into impactful AI solutions.
  • Proficiency in advanced ML techniques, including ensemble methods, neural networks, and unsupervised learning.
  • Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Use GCP tools like Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Dataflow for model training, experimentation, and deployment.
  • Apply MLOps practices to ensure robust monitoring, retraining, and model lifecycle management.
  • Research and integrate state-of-the-art ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and algorithms.
  • Analyze large, unstructured datasets, applying techniques like feature selection, dimensionality reduction, and clustering.
  • Mentor junior team members and drive thought leadership in ML/AI practices.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including deploying complex solutions in production.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing deep learning architectures and advanced ML models.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Spark and cloud platforms such as GCP or equivalent.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Publications or patents in AI/ML.
  • Experience in applying AI to domains like NLP, CV, or time-series analysis.
  • GCP certifications (e.g., ML Engineer, Data Engineer).
